Qigong
Qigong is a wholistic health practice which incorporates
breath, movement and meditation. This centuries old practice
rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine clears the mind and
strengthens the body.
Qi (or Chi) means energy or breath and Gong (or Kung) means
work or practice. So qigong is essentialy Energy Work or Breath
Work. Qigong can be practiced by itself or as part of a
martial arts practice.
Health Practice Qigong exercises increase awareness and improve function in
the body. The attention to the breath and the coordinated
movement is calming and healing to the nervous and endocrine
(hormonal) systems making Qigong an ideal practice for these
stressful times.
Qigong movements stretch and mobilize the joints, Massage
the internal organs and increase lung capacity. Digestion is
improved. Chronic pain and discomfort is decreased. Overall
vitality is improved.
