CE Credit

Currently courses are available for credit to Massage Therapists and Accupuncturists. Please contact me for more up to date information about CE credit.

NCBTMB, AMTA, ABMP

Most of the workshops offered are approved for CE Credit by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Make sure to check the details of the course you are signing up for to determine whether or not it is a credit course.

Credit is also accepted by the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) for membership continuing education requirements.

State of Colorado Massage Act

The State of Colorado does not currently directly require that Registered Massage Therapists receive continuing education. Colorado law does however require that all registered Massage Therapists must purchase and maintain liability insurance. Your best way of doing this is by maintaining your Massage Therapy Association membership through continuing education.

Colorado Division of Private Occupational Schools (DPOS)

All courses are supplementary to any vocational education. All certifications awarded are purely ancillary to any occupational preparation or primary education. It is not within the scope of practice for Massage Therapists to instuct clients in Qigong so many of our courses are for practitioner self care and are avocational in nature.

Acupuncturists

The NCCOAM recertification handbook states "A maximum of 10 PDA points may be submitted for Tai Chi and exercise Qigong courses." and that one PDA point is equal to one hour of instruction. Courses have not yet been put through the NCCOAM preaproval process. You may still submit the course work for up to 10 pda points per recertification cycle.

Non Credit Students

All courses are available as non credit courses to the public. Credit courses that you have already attended may be taken for credit again or audited as a non-credit course.
