Bagua is the youngest of the "Three Internals" of Chinese Martial
Arts. Created by martial arts Master Dong Hai Chuan (1813-1882)
in the mid to late 1850's. Combining what he knew of other martial
arts with Daoist principles of change, natural
health practices, and circle walking meditation.
Healing Art
Bagua is not only a powerful martial art, Bagua (Pakua) is a system of Qigong(chi kung). Constantly moving and changing like the I-Ching. Ba gua Zhang (Pa kua chuan) translates as Eight Trigram Palm and relates to the
trigrams of the I-Ching and the principal of constant change or
movement. An evolving art, each student is ultimatly encouraged to
find their own movement.
